TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Definitions
When these Terms use "Allegr Ltd," "Military App," "we," "us," or "our," that refers to Allegr Ltd and its Affiliates, and subsidiaries, and each of its and their respective officers, directors, agents, partners, and employees.
"Military App" means the downloaded smart phone based software provision of the Military App Service and the browser-based Web App Service, irrespective of whether it is branded as the Military App or under a different name for a Community client as a white label Service. This includes "Fusiliers Connect". For the avoidance of doubt, the Web App can form part of a website – a removable component, sometimes called a Members’ Area or Community Zone or similar.
"Member" means an individual that has registered on the Military App and is using our Service.
Our Services and Role
We offer a software-as-a-service digital community platform that supports military regimental associations, Regimental HQs, related support organisations or support groups and individual members. We establish a subscription agreement with a Community client - this may be a regimental association as an example - that facilitates the use of the platform for its members.
Our platform offers news & updates, groups, messaging, search & connection, notification and events management functions. Through our Service, community or group admins can share information and content with members and Event Organisers can create, post and manage online or in-person events, sell tickets (through a third party link), solicit donations (through a third party link) and stay connected to members through a suite of group, chat and events tools.
How we fit into the process of connecting members
We are not the creator, organiser, or owner of the events and content listed on the Service nor are we the seller of tickets, registrations or any merchandise on the Service. Instead, we provide our Service, which allows group admins and Event Organisers to manage their engagement and activities.

Event Safeguarding
Event Organisers and Community clients should have their own Safeguarding policies in place. Allegr Ltd is not responsible for monitoring Member, Community client or 3rd Party Member or organisation compliance with safeguarding guidelines.
The Military App is a digital community meant for adult veterans, serving military and family. The Military App and Allegr Ltd is committed to Safeguarding Adults in line with national legislation and relevant national and local guidelines. Event Organisers and Group Admins must safeguard adults by ensuring that their activities, and Groups within the Military App are delivered in a way which keeps all adults safe and by creating a culture of zero-tolerance of harm to adults.
The Military App and Allegr Ltd is committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive environment and an open, listening culture where people feel able to share concerns without fear of retribution. We acknowledge that safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.
Consent - Personal information can be shared with the consent of the adult concerned. The circumstances when we need to share information without the adult’s consent include those where: it is not safe to contact the adult to gain their consent; you believe they or someone else is at risk, including children; it is necessary to contact the police to prevent a crime, or to report that a serious crime has been committed; the adult does not have mental capacity to consent to information being shared about them; the person causing harm has care and support needs; the concerns are about an adult at risk living in Wales or Northern Ireland (where there is a duty to report to the Local Authority).
When information is shared without the consent of the adult this must be explained to them, when it is safe to do so, and any further actions should still fully include them.
In the event of a Group Admin, Community client manager or any member wanting to seek independent Safeguarding advise we recommend they contact: Ann Craft Trust, Tel: 0115 951 5400 Email: Ann-Craft-Trust@nottingham.ac.uk Website: www.anncrafttrust.org
Disclaimer
The Allegr Foundation (Not-for-Profit, Company Number: 12744819) is a strategic partner of Allegr Ltd for the delivery of event programmes. More details here: The Allegr Foundation.
The Allegr Foundation currently facilitate two core physical activations within the community: Walk+Talk and Coffee Club. These are localised activities to help members connect and these events are organised by volunteers from within the Military App community. Only Members that have been approved by the Military App can establish a Walk+Talk or Coffee Club group within the Military App or run events under these names.
Walk+Talk and Coffee Club Event Organisers must adhere to the Risk Assessment and Safeguarding Policies set out within each Group / Support Content. These policies can also be found here:
https://www.militaryapp.org/pages/walk-and-talk-safeguarding
https://www.militaryapp.org/pages/walk-and-talk-risk-assessment
Walk+Talk and Coffee Club Event Organisers are also subject to any guidelines set out in briefing notes or information on the website below:
Coffee Club Event Organisers must ensure that the venues for their events meet the criteria defined above and are safe, appropriate and insured.
Walk+Talk Events Organisers must ensure that the venues for refreshments before, during or after their events meet the criteria defined above and are safe, appropriate and insured.
Walk+Talk events are gentle, localised walking groups for small numbers (up to 10 participants). They are not walking events on arduous or potentially dangerous terrain - for example a Walk+Talk Risk Assessment and Liability does not cover mountainous walks, walking at altitude, running or cycling. If a Walk+Talk Event Organiser wishes to lead a walk in more arduous terrain (for example in the Brecon Beacons or Peak District) then they take on full liability for the walk, and participants acknowledge this whether it is published or not within the Group or Event page. In this case the Event Organiser must be suitably qualified to lead a walk in the planned terrain and conditions and they must ensure that they make an independent Risk Assessment for the activity, notifying participants of this and thatnit falls outside of Military App liability.
Coffee Club events do not include additional physical activity such as, but not limited to, walking, running or cycling.
The Allegr Foundation holds a third-party liability insurance policy to cover Walk+Talk and Coffee Club events that fall within our stated criteria and follow the Risk Assessment and Safeguarding policy guidelines. This insurance policy does not cover participant travel to and from an event. In the event of any potential Claim the Event Organiser or participant must first contact the Military App on the contact information provided below detailing the concern.
