Saturday April 17th, Coventry: 4 of 12
"Oh, do get on with it ..."
As a mark of due respect to the passing of HRH Prince Philip, the period of national mourning and his funeral on Sat 17th April, we feel it appropriate to embrace the very mantra achieved with his remarkable DofE scheme:
'To equip and empower people from all communities to build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to make the most out of life.'
Based on this sentiment, along with his apparent wish for “no fuss”, we have decided to respectfully continue with our plans with the Allegr 12 Coventry – in our own endeavours to help community and fundraise for mental health.
We will, of course, ensure that a 2 minutes' silence is observed at 1500 and be wearing black arm bands in honour and memory of HRH Prince Philip.
Hello 👋 and Welcome to The Allegr 12
Coventry Event.
We’re delighted you’re here, and really hope you’ll join in.
What's happening on Saturday April 17th?
Ben will run for 12 hours non-stop around a 5 k loop in Coventry. Exact route details below.
We’d love you to join in - for some, or all of this. As slow or as fast as you want, for as little or as much time as you wish.
The course will open at 0700 and close at 1900.
Between those times you are free to show up, and go as far, or for as long, as you can. Not because you have to, but because you want to.
Just join the loop (with your people / community or alone) and bring your 100%.
Ben’s 12 hour mission might be the headline, but the real story of the Campaign lies with YOU all - the people who show up on the day – and the many individuals across the country who will also be joining in remotely.
Your distance. Your pace.
Just bring yourself and enjoy the chance to connect and engage with your local community.
As simple as... 1, 2, 3
