Friends of Tockington Manor
Local Community Partner
‘Friends of Tockington Manor’ is a group of volunteer parents and teachers whose primary aim is to raise funds for valuable projects within the school that enhance the environment of the school and so the experience for ALL of the children from nursery through to the end of year 8 and beyond. These funds are raised throughout the school year by events designed to appeal to the children and parents alike with a focus on fun and inclusion for all.
Before lockdown v3 we had planned to do a sponsored run at TMS to support Ben’s 12 hour running efforts, but in these different times we have had to rethink and adapt! So on 20th February Ben will be completing his second 12 hour running challenge and while we can’t all run together, we hope that as many parents and children as possible will join in on the day by completing some form of physical activity from home or within their local community - what should we do? The choice is yours - get creative - a 12min HIIT session, 12min run or perhaps something every hour. This event is about getting involved, challenging yourself and supporting each other.
Ben will be completing his 12 hour run over a 5-6km loop in Olveston and will be running round with a big yellow wig, if you have one pop it on whilst you complete your own challenge and have some fun as you join in!
We look forward to seeing lots of your fabulous pictures/videos of you and yours completing your own challenges and whatever you do, enjoy it!
Thank you for any support you can give.
